SELF-ESTEEM & RELATIONSHIPS

Helping you to overcome repetitive patterns so that you can build self-esteem, express yourself and resolve relationship issues.

Do you experience emotional problems, have trouble expressing yourself, or struggle to know what you want?

Perhaps you know what you want deep down, but lack the self-esteem and capacity to express yourself means you end up feeling alone and disconnected. It seems as if everyone else has it figured out, and you wish you were them.

IT MAY BE THAT YOU’RE ALWAYS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WANT AND YOU PUT EVERYONE ELSE FIRST.

As a result, you find it difficult to say no, and feel at the bottom of the pile. It’s as if you’re the one putting all the effort into your relationships, without getting much back in return.

You may have read about codependency and wondered if that’s you

And while people-pleasing helps you to feel safe from rejection and abandonment, underneath you feel resentful, and it’s as if the world isn’t a fair place.

Psychotherapy will help you to:

  • Experience a new way of being in relationships, without always being the “giver”

  • Grow into who you are as a person so you can be yourself without fear of rejection

  • Develop self-esteem, so that you can make choices with confidence

  • Learn how to safely say no and set boundaries with yourself and others

  • Gain self-awareness so that your internal critical voice has less power

  • Develop self-compassion and inner kindness

  • Understand how your past experiences impact how you think and respond now

  • Reclaim your joy, and get to where you want to be in life

  • How long does it take to untangle a tangled up ball of string? Humans are all unique which means there’s no cookie-cutter approach and it all depends on the individual.

Someone in twice-weekly therapy will more often than not, progress faster than someone in once weekly therapy.

  • Yes, but we’ll discuss this first so we can agree on how it’s going to work.

For online therapy, I invite you to meet in person for your initial consultations, in order to establish a foundation for the online work.

  • Therapy consultations cost £75 per session in Romsey, Hampshire, and £85 in Wandsworth, London.

I review fees annually at the end of the financial year, and may increase fees in line with inflation.
