"The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them" A. Einstein
I help people who may be struggling with overwhelm, stress, relationships, their past or present experiences, or sense of self-worth. I help you to make the journey towards feeling better, and to develop the resilience to manage life's stressors and uncertainties. If you suffer from anxiety or depression, or feel stuck, confused or hopeless about your life, then I can help you to work through experiences that may have caused you stress, trauma, or issues with self-worth or trust, so that you can ultimately live a more fulfilling life where reaching your potential is a possibility.
I have many clients who come because something has never felt right in their lives despite there being no big traumatic event, plus those who do have a difficult or traumatic history and it is hindering their current quality of life, as well as those whom have had something happen in their current lives which has caused their internal house of cards to collapse, causing anxiety, depression, trauma, overwhelm, anger or hopelessness. Together in therapy we can make sense of things now and in the past, and work towards building an internal home that is more solid and able to withstand life's curveballs.
I combine my psychotherapeutic skills with body based skills learnt through 20 years as a yoga teacher, such as mindfulness and grounding techniques, and I include the body in my therapeutic thinking, for eg. somatic symptoms or medically unexplained symptoms such as IBS, UC, or chronic fatigue. I have worked in trauma services and may apply a trauma informed approach where necessary. I have an in-depth understanding of workplace issues having worked as a staff counsellor in a large London NHS trust, where I also ran emotional wellbeing awareness trainings for managers, and supported staff during the Covid pandemic.
I am offering open-ended and time-limited psychotherapy and counselling, simply call me now on 07710 819 485 for a 10 minute chat about booking your appointment, or email me on email@example.com.
